Windows 10 desktop icons not in order

In ccleaner, did you uncheck cleaning the icon cache... have not used in a while; however, I think that is what the option is called.

Now, if you are setting the icons and they move after you have set the settings and not changed them... you may have the "Random Windows 10 Icon movement problem".
Some people have this and some don't.

Here is a thread on the problem at Windows10 forums: Windows 10: Folder View Settings and Desktop Icon Positions Not Saving

  3. After log-in, Desktop, Background, and Icons do not appear - just the cursor (movable) on a black background

I just installed my Windows 10; everything seemed to go smoothly, until right after log-in. The log-in screen appears, I put in my password, click enter, and it hesitates a moment then goes to a black/dark grey screen with no desktop, icons, or background.
The cursor appears and is movable. I've tried going into Safe Mode (the desktop and icons appear), but I do not know how to proceed from there to find a display setting?? to change to get the desktop to appear in normal mode. Any suggestions?
