Windows 10: Win11 Media Player: clear/prevent history??

I really don't want apps to keep a list of things I've recently opened unless I tell them too, but I can't seem to get Media Player 11.22 from Win 11 to stop keeping a list of recently watched videos. I don't want a library to show up when i open the app [i'm not so stupid that i forget where i put things], and i do not want a list of what i've recently watched you see, i've ALREADY watched them, so i don't need to see a list of them.can this be turned off? i really don't want to have to buy a 3rd party media player...

and from the last link is the same error where you can just disable it too =)

Have you tried running the troubleshooter for WMP? If not, we suggest that you try to run the troubleshooter and
see if it helps. To run the troubleshooter, follow these steps:

  On the search bar, type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on
  Programs.
  
• 
  Under
  Media
  Player, click on
  Windows Media Player Settings
  and
  Windows Media Player Library.

What is the exact error message you get when you to try play files on Windows Media Player?

I suggest you to run both Windows Media Player Library and Settings troubleshooter and check.

Step 1: If your computer is having problems playing video or audio files in Windows Media Player, try using the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter to fix the problem. The troubleshooter checks the configuration and network settings
for Windows Media Player to make sure that you can play content you've downloaded and saved to your computer, or content streaming over a network or the Internet.

• In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click
