Windows 10: Win11 laptop crashes with 1 horizontal line and display fading

Hi there,I need your help as I don't know why my laptop Lenovo ideapad3 crashes a lot recently. It can happen after 5 minutes of starting it or 30min or 2 hours. One never knows.I run windows 11 and the laptop has been running smoothly until recently. Now it crashes at least once a day, when in use.It's working fine and then suddenly appears this one horizontal line somewhere on the screen, splits it in 2 areas. Usually the upper turns into a pink colour, the lower one turns whitish. But still in both fields the colour and all fades until the screen is only grey. I have to do a new boot to r

Horizontal grey lines on display

Hi

There's are strange grey lines appearing on a computer when it is connected to a terminal server. The display on the right is from an external monitor, the one on the left ist from the Laptop. When the external display gets turned off, the lines appear on the Laptop's display. However, when the user starts Word directly on the Laptop, there are no lines.

When connections are initiated from other computers or other users, there is no display issue either. Also the lines cannot be seen from another computer via isl light client (remote-support tool).





What irritates me most is the fact that the lines are not completely from left to right but are all intterupted on the white background regardless of the window border or the page layout from the shown Word document. Also that the picture is a screenshot and didn't need to be done with a camera to see the lines is strange after they didn't show up during remote support.

Any suggestions concerning the most probable cause - graphics card failure, driver issue or something else?

Horizontal Lines on Display After Windows 11 Update

Hi all

I have an Acer Spin 5 (SP513-54N) laptop that was working perfect after upgrading to Windows 11. However, after another update a few weeks ago, the laptop restarted and now I have these horizontal lines across the entire display.

It's still usable, but the screen is half as bright as it used. It almost seems as if the vertical lines that complete the display have disappeared, except for a thin line at the top, which is still showing the right brightness.

When I plug in a display to the HDMI port, it shows perfectly on the other screen. However, my laptop screen suddenly gets this white wash over it, which fades away in a minute or two. When I restart the laptop, there are various color spots across the display along with the white haze, which all go away after a few minutes of use. However, the lines remain.

The problem is there from the very moment I turn on the laptop and during the boot up process and Bios.

I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, but nothing changes.

Anyone have a similar issue and a possible solution?

 

Laptop screen displays jittering horizontal lines when coming out of sleep mode.

Problem description: My eighteen-month-old laptop screen displays
alternating horizontal lines and constantly jitters up and down when coming out of
sleep mode. The only resolution I’ve found is to reboot or let it go into sleep mode a
second time, after which, upon reopening the screen-lid, the problem clears and the screen displays normally. Any suggestions? Thank you.
