Windows 10: Win10 Crashing/ Freezing under heavy fullscreen grapic

In some cases, my OS freezes out entirely. It shows a blank image on the primary and a freezed image on the secondary display.

It happens when I try to run some gpu heavy workload, especially on fullscreen. Some example: Overwatch (right after launch, or when rendering a highlight), Movie studio platinum (gpu accelerated mode), but sometimes it can caused by simply tabbing out from LoL. Which is not exactly a heavy load on my PC at all.

I thought it could be some gpu or power issue, but my gpu works just fine in another machine, and I have a 600W PSU to run a system which consumes around 430 watt at full load.

Another weird thing is the following: It not happens regularly, it can happened after startup at the very first time when I'm tabbing or running a gpu heavy thing, but it can completely disappear for days, or even a week.

I've experiencing this problem since I came home and my Windows installed some updates 8/14.

And one more thing: sadly, playing in borderless is not a solution, because I have monitors with different refresh rate (144/60) and if I run anything in any else mode but fullscreen, it just look crap. And it doesn't solve the problem during rendering anyway.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

• my windows version is 1709 (OS build 16299.125).

• first my system shows application error on every third party apps so i did a clean boot. then i tired to install directx. but i cannot. so i checked in windows feature, i cannot activate the direct play nor install the grapics tool in my windows setting
