Windows 10: Win10 Component Store Corruption Repair Does Not Work ?

Command Run As Administrator & using Windows PowerShell as admin and having Ran SFC /scannow, all 3 DISM command lines 3 times, then SFC /scannow again, also chkdsk C: /f /r /x, Windows Memory Diagnostic and Microsoft Safety Scanner....DISM still results with Error: 1392 - The File or Directory is corrupted and unreadable The following my course of action to resolvePrior: I had already ran Defrag and Scan Disk for Errors Command Prompt: Run as Administrator or using Windows PowerShell Run as Administrator performed the following 1 SFC /scannow 2 DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkh

Since Windows 8, you can use the a new DISM command to repair corrupted files:

This will download the clean file from Microsoft server.

If this fails, download the Version 1511 ISO, mount the ISO into a virtual DVD drive and run this command:

(where D: is your mounted Win10 ISO)

 

KB3194496 - Corrupts Component Store?

Hi. I've been trying to install update KB3194496, but without success.

Before installing it, DISM /CheckHealth reports "No component store corruption detected.".

When trying to install the update, DISM aborts giving the error code 0x80073712 with the message "The component store has been corrupted".

A subsequent DISM /CheckHealth run reports "The component store is repairable".

I can repair the component store but it is seemingly corrupted again the next time I try to apply the Windows update.

I reinstalled Windows and on a pristine install the problem reoccurred. "Sfc /scannow" and "chkdsk c: /f" report no problems.

Please advise.

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
