Windows 10: Win 10 auto update keeps on downloading and installing new drivers

Every time when my Win 10 Home Edition performs an auto update, it keeps on downloading and replacing my older graphics driver with a new one.I tried various methods for turning off this ‘mandatory’ graphics driver download and installation without any success. I applied all methods I found in Google that were posted by various users. None of them works.I play older games on my PC and I stick to older graphics drivers that suit me completely therefore there’s no need for an update. It’s quite unnerving and annoying to reinstall an older driver version every month because the auto update r

Driver Update/install

Ok, so let me get the basics down first.

1st delete the old driver(software or one by one)
2nd Install new drivers from download
3rd test new drivers

Reboot after steps 1 & 2?

 

Update keeps installing the Driver for Realtek Semiconductor Corp.

I should have mentioned when I did a Windows 10 clean install a couple of months ago that soon after I installed Windows, I installed all the drivers etc for my 7530.

I was told by a Dell tech support agent that this is the order to do this :

1. run Windows Update and install everything that it suggests
2. download and install Dell SupportAssist or Dell Command Update, run it, install all drivers etc suggested

I followed their advice. I actually installed an ran both Dell SupportAssist and Dell Command Update. They pulled down drivers that Windows Update did not suggest. I do not remember if Realtek was one of them.

That Realtek driver, by the way, does not seem to be related to my USB functionality at all. Instead, in Device Manager, it is the driver for my Microphone and Speakers.
