Windows 10: Wifi status option not showing/ can't access wifi

In windows 11, suddenly while using it the wifi stoped working. The wifi didn't disconnect but "stoped" As in I can't access it's setting or turn it on or off tooThe trouble shooting isn't working also I can't check for any updates on windows as it needs internet itself.The drivers are up to date and shows the error that it could not start, I tried restarting / reinstalling the drivers but nothing worked.I can't understand the problem.

No WiFi in Win10 Pro (1903) Windows Sandbox

I (seemingly) successfully updated my Surface Pro 6 to v.1903 today, and after some initial fumbles enabling it, now have Windows Sandbox enabled and it seems to open just fine. However, there is no WiFi access within Sandbox.

Accessing Settings for Network & Internet, the list on the left is:
Status
Ethernet
Dial-up
VPN
Airplane mode
Date usage
Proxy
WiFi appears no place in that window. Network status shows No Internet Access.

What step am I missing to be able to access the internet from within the Sandbox using my computer's WiFi connection?

 

No Longer Show VPN status where Wifi Connection status is Located. It WAS there, but it is NOW Gone.

Step 1:

Go to Searchbox next to Windows icon and type Taskbar settings

Step 2:

Under Taskbar settings scroll down to see Notification area

Step 3:

Then click on Select which icons appear on the taskbar

Step 4:

Then from the list select the Proton VPN and select ON

Please let me know the status after performing the above.

At my wits end with WiFi

I did the sme, with the WAP, i disabled DHCP, and assigned a static IP (192.168.1.2), the adsl router already has a static ip set. i followed th guide here: Wireless access point - DD-WRT Wiki to a T, both with and without the reccommended/optional steps.

Still no joy, and i still can't get my desktop to see the wifi router, wth default settings and a direct connection. My laptop views the wifi router fine, with default settings.

Ok i figured i missed a step when changing to the DD-WRT firmware. I didn;t upgrade to the latest version. i'm doing that now, and i'll try to set it up again.
