Windows 10: Why isn't my intel i7 6700K processor compatible with Windows 11?

I am unable to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Will Microsoft expand compatibility to include my intel i7-6700K processor?

Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00 Ghz processor Windows 11 Compatible?

I just ran Microsoft's "PC Health Check" on my desktop pc to check for Windows 11 compatibility and it says the processor doesn't meet the required specifications. I have Intel Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00 Ghz processor. Everything else passed the testing.

However, when I check the processor requirements, the Intel Core i7-6700K CPU is listed as meeting the requirements. Can someone explain this?

I am running Windows 10 Pro, version 21H1, 64 bit, with 32 GB ram.

Updating the i7 6700K as a compatible processor for Windows 11

This is more of a request than a question. Can we get the appropriate Microsoft correspondence to escalate the overwhelmingly increasing request for adding the i7 6700K as a confirmed compatible processor for Windows 11?

It's understandable that it takes time to update the compatibility list. With an enormous number of consumers currently using the i7-6700K, I hesitate to imagine that it wouldn't be against an administrators' standard to leave so many consumers in their position, surely.

I'll happily offer up my own PC to be used for testing if that could help escalate the matter. With much love, I thank you for your support.

Well the i7 6700K is listed here as supported:

Windows Processor Requirements Windows 10 21H1 Supported Intel Processors

This is the link included in the MS PC Health Checker underneath the msg, "The processor isn't currently supported for Windows 11."

Obviously, still some contradictory info being provided on various MS web pages not to mention that the i76700K meets the CPU specs provided by MS.

Why did they have to make this so difficult?
