This is the event log error throwing event ID 370 & 215:

The print spooler failed to regenerate the printer driver information for driver Canon Inkjet MP190 series for environment Windows x64. Win32 system error code 3016 0xbc8. This can occur after an operating system upgrade or because of data loss on the hard drive.


I scanned the registry for cannon anything and got nothing. I do not have any cannon devices under printers, or device manager. There are no cannon related services cataloged, etc. This started happening after a recent windows "upgrade" kb5001028 & kb4601395 on 2/14/21

Brother Printer exists & works, but won't "Install" - Why?

Check whether I understood you well.
First try: Add new printer, Windows finds printer and loads its own drivers/programme automatically. It wprks but not with the Brother drivers.
Second try: Brother package: failed
I suggest a third try: Add new printer; the printer that I wanted is not listed; continue and see of your model is listed. in the list of printers.
I had difficulties with setting up another Brother printer, and the third try solved it.

 

Printer advice

hp printers have the most expensive ink of all printers, the most economical is cannon and epson so i suggest if you looking to keep costs down look at those brands.

that being said it may not have the best print quality if it uses less costly ink.

if keeping cost down is the most important then shop in reverse, find a brand that has cheap replacement ink cartridges then see what printers they are used on. then from that list look to see if you like any of those printers and if they are affordable to you, if not then select another ink cartridge and look at the printers that those are used on. this method will give you the most affordable printer and the cheapest cost of replacement ink.

Postscript Printer Driver will not load


I need to download a Postscript Printer Driver to enable me to create PDF files from Pagemaker 7 files. Downloads from the Adobe website will not load. Have wasted a lot of time on this - any suggestions?
