  1. Why is the "Ike and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules" Service Set to Automatic Trigger Start

I've noticed a service running in Task Manager called "Ike and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules", and although it wasn't really consuming any resources, I wanted to check what it was in the Services listthe Service on my Windows 10 Pro 22h2 computer is set to Automatic Trigger Start; however, I'm reading that the default startup type for this Service is Manual, and it's also set to Manual Trigger Start on my Windows 11 Home system. not sure if this is the literal service it's connected to, but the IPsec Policy Agent Service does not run on either system, it's set to "Manual Trigger Start". 2. Missing Service: IKE/AuthIP

I'm been having long standing issues with my Xbox App on Windows 10 not being able to connect due to numerous reasons. I have all resolved all but one, I hope, and that is that when I was troubleshooting my blocked server connectivity I noticed that I do
not have a service installed that is required to run. "IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules" is the service. I know this is a key service that needs to be running on my machine as two of my other
computers have this service running fine, but its absence on my main desktop computer is very concerning.

The issue here is that I can't find where to reinstall this service anywhere credible, I'd like to get this running as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

Use bootable USB to upgrade to 1511

    Check this...
    1. Type services.msc in RUN or Start search box and press Enter. It'll open Services Manager.
    2. Now make sure following services are set to Automatic and running properly:

    • Automatic Updates OR Windows Update
    • Background Intelligent Transfer Service
    • Server
    • Workstation
    • TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
    • IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules
If any or all of the above mentioned services are not running or not set to Automatic, double-click on the service, set its Startup type to Automatic from the drop-down list, Apply the changes and click on "Start" button to immediately start the service.

Why is the "Ike and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules" Service Set to Automatic Trigger Start

Use bootable USB to upgrade to 1511

I went ahead and did this as well while I am waiting. I had a few that were set to manual Triggered, so I changed them. When the command line is done I will reboot.
