Windows 10: Why is Pantum printer not scanning but prints normally?

I am using a Pantum printer of the M6500 Series M6502 to be precise. I have the respective driver for it. I've uninstalled and re-downloaded it multiple times with no success. The driver gives you an app based on your printer model. Since mine is the M6502, I put that in and downloaded it. Now in the app, I click scan, but it says "The scanner is not connected. Please check the scanner is powered on, the USB is properly connected and the network connection works well." Yet if I try to print something from a browser, an app, a file, or a single image, it works completely fine. It connects to

Trying to find a print driver for a Pantum P2502W printer that will work with Windows 10 without having to download an application that analyzes my drivers.

 

Printer Pantum M6552 does not work with home network

Make and model of Printer Pantum M6552 I bought the printer for home use for my wife and myself. After installing it via our home router, using the supplied disk and carefully following the instructions, it worked fine for about a week. Then my wife told me hers had stopped working. I checked my computer and could not print from there either. I couldn’t find the problem and asked my son (he’s good at this kind of stuff) if he would try. He was unable to get it to work on our home network but we can now print on a Pantum network (DIRECT-03-Pantum M6550 Series) he set up. The problem with this is that before printing we must change our network setting from the router we use for the internet to the Pantum network, print, and change it back to use the internet. Can someone help me resolve the issue so I can print and use the internet without changing anything? Windows 10 version 21H2

 

Printer will not print color

We understand the difficulties that you are unable to print in color. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed? (Type winver
  in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• What is the model number of the Printer?
• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?

• How is the printer connected to the computer (Wired/Wireless)?

Let us try a few steps and check.

Method 1: Run Printer Troubleshooter

1. Click on Start button and then Settings .
   
2. Click on UpdateandSecurity and then click on
   Troubleshoot.
   
3. Run the troubleshooter for Printer.

Method 2: Update Printer Driver.

We would suggest you to connect the printer to the PC as wired connection, then download and install the
Firmware & Software Utility driver from HP website.

Method 3: Check Printer preferences.

1. In the software application you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print.
   
   The Print window opens.
   
2. Open the Properties dialog box.
   
   Depending on the software application, the button might be Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
   
3. Depending on your print job, you might consider modifying the following settings:
   
   • Black and White: If you want to print in black and white only, select the grayscale option.
     
4. ​After selecting the print settings, click OK to apply the settings, and then click Print.
