Windows 10: Why is My Firewall, making my default gateway unavailable ?

So when i run my trouble shoot for my network adapter, it says my default gateway is unavailable every time. When I turn my firewall off it and try troubleshooting it again it says that there is no problem. so i am lost on how to fix this issue. I don't want to mess with my firewall settings and mess anything up, but I also don't want to turn my firewall off. If you have any advice to fix the problem it would be greatly appreciated. i just built my pc in December and this is my first time using ethernet.

Default gateway unavailable

Since installing win 10 I have the following problem

"default gateway unavailable"

my ethernet contoroler is Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Controller

I can reset the card and it works for a couple of minutes or hours, then the problem returns

Any suggestions

Thanks for trying to help. As I said when I troubleshoot it says default gateway unavailable and "fixed". Then I am recconected to the internet. I have an HP Envy 360 2 in 1. I'm kicked off suddenly every hour or so. It lets me back on once I troubleshoot
but it's annoying. I have tried running commands as admin to reset ISP. HP support has helped me install new BIOS and forced a windows 10 update. I have reset the modem. Checked the drivers for updates. All to no avail. I wonder why suddenly my computer desides
default gateway is unavailable. What makes it unavailable suddenly when 5 minutes ago it was fine. I might send the laptop back. Makes me sad because I really like it. Any more suggestions?

 

The Default Gateway Is Not Available constantly.

I've seemed to fix the issue for now. I just reset the firewall settings on Norton. Thanks for your help anyway.
