Windows 10: Why is my AirPods audio muffled/low quality and how do I fix this?

Hello,So the other day I found out why my AirPods 4th Gen were not fully working with my Windows 11 laptop because it only supports up to bluetooth 5.2, while the AirPods 4 are 5.3. However, I bought a bluetooth 5.3 adaptor to solve this issue and the original issues with the AirPods are now fixed, but the audio coming from them are very low quality. Would anyone happen to know how to fix this? Thank you so much and I look forward to receiving support.

I've clean booted while only enabling "Realtek Audio Service", "Windows Audio Endpoint Builder", and "Windows Audio" services. when connecting an external speaker, the sound is still low and muffled

I have an hp omen I bought a few years ago that until this week, I had no issues with the audio, and the computer hadn't been updated recently either or any new programs installed, it seemingly just occurred randomly. The audio input sounds low quality and muffled, regardless of the device. I've tried updating the audio drivers, replacing the audio drivers, disabling all audio effects, clean booting windows, using different outputs such as Nvidia and Realtek audio outputs, and uninstalling any audio effect programs, none of which had any effect. is there anything else I haven't tried that may help?

Oh yes, the audio is also being disabled under clean boot. You can try checking a service related to audio and enable it. When you connect an external speaker, does it sound low and muffled as well? Thank you.
