Windows 10: Why home version was installed after putting key of professional version?

Split from this thread. Emily et all,I am running into the same issue. Recently, I purchased a W11 Pro key to upgrade from W11 Home to Windows 11 Pro. I have completed a complete format, etc. and the only ISO I can find are for Home. It has been noted that one should be able to change the product key, but when I enter the new key it gives an invalid response. After running the command you mentioned, the results are attached to this message.Thanks to all in advance for any assistance.

My friend is building new pc , he installed windows 11 home on his pc but his windows was not activated, so he directly put windows 11 pro key in the "change product key section". After a while windows 11 home was activated but professional version was not active . i checked the windows 11 professional key that i bought from retailer in showkeyplus app , and it says windows 10 rtm professional key . So i need help why my friends windows was activated in windows 11 home version and not in pro version

Follow that guide, it tells you step by step how to use your currrent disc to make a new disc with SP3 integrated into it.

That way you don't have to worry about matching the version, or downloading a cracked/hacked version that is useles to you.
