Windows 10: Why dose Hibernate disappear under Power Options if user skips boot from CD/DVD Windows11...

I used Windows11 24H2 build version: 26100.2065 and actived Secure Boot on the platform.Hibernate disappear under Power Options after the following steps:1. Active Secure Boot in BIOS Setup2. Put CD/DVD Windows11 Installer as the first boot option3. When the platform boots, it will boot into CD/DVD Windows11 Installer at first, and show "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..."Do nothing to skip it, then the platform will boot into Windows11 24h2 build version: 26100.20654. After entering OS, check Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Power Options->“Choose what the power button does”-&

Power Hibernate Option Stops Working Correctly after Win10 1809 Upgrade

To answer your questions:

• Is this happening all the time or is it intermittent? A: It has been happening all time ever the first boot-up since the Ver 1809 upgrade whenever the PC was turned hibernate either by Home key > power logo> Hibernate or by pressing
  the power button (which was set as hibernate. The hibernate function worked well up until last boot-up before the upgrade.
  
• What is the make and model of your computer? A:
  The PC is a Dell Inspiron laptop. OS is Win 10 Home V1809 64-bit Build 17763.1
  

Execution of your suggested solution protocol did not solve the problem.

Hopefully you can suggest other solutions for trying.

Booting from the Walmart DVD

@Try3, hope you don't mind my suggestion, but maybe the DVD disk has to be in the Internal CD/DVD Rom Drive for the One Time Boot list to show it?

Method 1: Follow these steps to run the windows in built troubleshooter:

  1. Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.
  
  2. Click on Troubleshooting tab.
  
  3. Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
  
  4. Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
  5. Click Next to run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.
  

Method 2: I suggest you to update the DVD/CD-ROM drivers on your computer and check if it helps. Refer the below steps to update the driver.

• 
  1. Press “Windows + X” and select Device manager.
  
  2. Select DVD/CD-ROM and expand the driver icon.
  
  3. Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
  
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.
  
  5. Restart the computer and check if the issue is resolved.
