Windows 10: Why Doesn't "Preferred Band" pop up on my wireless LAN card?

Recently, I got new internet which supported 5ghz, since my PC supports both 2.4ghz the one i was on before and 5ghz i wanted to switch to 5ghz for better speeds because on another device with 5ghz switched on i was getting 370mbps and only around 20-30mbps on my PC. So i naturally searched it up and tried every solution and it didn't work. The only closest one was about changing the setting of preferred band but like the title says, it didn't pop up and i found a solution that said to change your wireless mode which didn't show up either so now I'm stumpted. So i made this to hopefully find

How to add Preferred Band?

Preferred band is missing in the Advanced Settings of my WiFi adapter. Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

Please don't send instructions to check for the Preferred Band. It is not there.

I've already scoured the internet and it seems that everyone has the same answers with no solution.

Is there anyone out there that knows the answer to this? Is it my card? Is there a deep setting somewhere in Windows 11 to fix this?

I am not having any problems connecting to 5ghz or 2.4ghz with the Realtek 8821CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

The problem is I want to stop the Realtek adapter from connecting to 2.4ghz.

The reason I need to stop the Realtek adapter from connecting to 2.4ghz is that I am using my phone as a hotspot for my computer with my phone set to 5ghz only. I am using a second adapter that only works on 2.4ghz to connect to a printer that is only 2.4ghz.

Again, I need to stop this card from connecting to 2.4ghz.

not showing wireless lan card

my hp desktop has stopped showing the ralink 802.11 lan card in the device manager. I tried installing a linksys wireless-ac usb adapter but it won`t install properly

 

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.
