    Why does my Win 11 desktop top left icon keep being moved elsewhere?


    On my desktop I have many icons/short-cuts. My top left icon is a This PC short-cut. It keeps being moved to the next location available, somewhere down the left-hand side. This mainly comes when I install more software or upgrade an existing app. The new short-cut replaces the This PC short-cut at top left. How do I stop this?

    Windows 11 Desktop Icons keep moving pasted items go to top left

    Hi. Whenever I paste a DIR onto my desktop, rather than it go where I am pasting it it goes to the top left which then moves all the other icons down the screen. I have Googled and tried the right click on the desktop, view, uncheck auto arrange icons and unchecked align icons to grid. This did not fix the issue.

    Until Windows 11 I have never experienced this issue and I find it very annoying. Has anyone got a solution for this issue?

    Top left corner icon keeps moving

    This is the top left corner of my screen. These are the only icons I have on my Desktop. These icons never move...

    Top left corner icon keeps moving

    Funny thats the opposite of my issue. Thats the spot i want to keep my pc icon but it wont stay there, everything else remains where its supposed to be.

    Thats even more effort than just moving the stray icon back where i want it to be.
