Windows 10: Why does DISM.exe stop at 20%?

Hello. Ever since about three weeks ago, I've had DISM.exe's /startcomponentcleanup not finish, and say it's successful, but it's at 20%.I'm somewhat worried about this, since I think that the component cleanup deletes/affects the InFlight files in the WinSxs folder. That folder is currently 1.2GB in size. I have already tried restarting, deleting them manually since they are in a temp folder but access was denied.Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth Stops %20

I ran CMD as an administrator.
I wrote the code '' DISM / Online / Cleanup-Image / CheckHealth ''.Stopped at 20%

 

DISM CleanUp stops at 20%; RestoreHealth increases winSxS/temp folder size. Cleanmgr doesn't work anymore either.

See if installing and uninstalling a feature (e.g., Telnet) helps remove the CBS temp files/folders.

For example, run:

• Dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:TelnetClient
  

Restart Windows and then run:

• Dism /online /Disable-Feature /FeatureName:TelnetClient
  

• Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
  

If nothing helps, run a ProcMon trace to capture the "Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup" operation, Once it fails at 20%, switch to ProcMon and stop tracing. Save *all* events to a PML log file, *zip* the log, and upload it. Also, upload the latest CBS logs and the DISM log.

 

How to get damn DISM to work?

Thx guys, I'll compress this data into a blog post. For all the so called guides I've read, not a single one mentioned it has to be WIM file (some listed even ESD which clearly doesn't work) or that certain ISO images don't work with DISM.

After I've done DISM thingie, SFC also managed to repair stuff. Which is what I've needed here.
