Windows 10: why does Dism.exe /online stops @ 20%?

    why does Dism.exe /online stops @ 20%?

    i have updated to KB3140768 2 days ago
    i did run clean disk and after Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

    today i wanted to run again Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase
    but it did stops at @20%

    translated
    i run cmd as administrator and after i gave the command Dism.exe / online / Cleanup-Image / StartComponentCleanup / ResetBase

    Windows 10 update KB3074678 just sits at 0% downloaded, with comment "waiting for download"

    On Win 10 with more update that stay at 0% or download error

    1) no error with scannow

    2) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth


    after 1 hour at 20% i have stopped it

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    10 minutes and not appear % progress

    3) i had to stop firewall, antimalware and antivirus to edit catroot2.

    After this i can stop "net stop cryptSvc" and rename catrooot2.old directory.

    After PC restart, widows update download to 5%, and after show error message

    Really, why i cant download this upgrade and start it manually?!

    Edit:

    i have try solution 1 (scannow), solution 2 and after solution 3... this dont work, upgrade show always error.

    But after have change SoftwareDistribution.old and
    catroot2 i try new time

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth


    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    and this time work!!! 10 min for scanhealth and 20 for restorehealth.

    After this windows update work and i have update win10.

    Hello,

    I've had similar problems so I tried to follow your guideline.

    However, when I run the DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth, I get stuck at 20% and cannot proceed.

    Do you know why that might be so?

    but do you think it normal that it stops for example @20% without giving errors ?
    for example i updated for example w8.1
    i run Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535 ->selected all the clean
    after Dism.exe / online / Cleanup-Image / StartComponentCleanup / ResetBase and it ends @ 100%

    after i reboot and run the clean up Dism.exe / online / Cleanup-Image / StartComponentCleanup / ResetBase , it stops at 20%

    but the first time it finished @100!

    have you w10 updated?
    have perfom a clean up like
    Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535 (select all)
    and Dism.exe / online / Cleanup-Image / StartComponentCleanup / ResetBase ??
