Windows 10: Why do my windows 11 accent color settings keep auto-resetting to purple

My color settings have, for the whole time I've had my computer just over a year or so, been on light mode with the default gray accent color. For about the last 2 weeks however, my accent color has been regularly resetting itself to purple. This happens while I am actively using the device as well as when I shut down. Every time I notice that it's changed, I switch it back to gray but it usually never takes more than a few hours for it to reset back to purple. Neither the overall mode or accent color mode change. It stays on light mode, and accent color stays on manual, yet it still automat

1. Check Windows Updates:

Make sure your system is up-to-date. Microsoft frequently releases updates that include bug issues and improvements. Go to "Settings" > "Windows Update" to check for and install any available updates.

2. Verify Color Settings:

1. Go to "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Colors."
   
2. Confirm that "Show accent color on title bars and windows borders" is enabled.
   
3. Try changing the accent color to a different one and check if the issue persists.
   

3. Adjust Theme Settings:

1. Go to "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Themes."
   
2. Select a default Windows theme and check if the issue persists.
   
3. If the default themes work correctly, you can try creating a new custom theme with the desired accent color.
   

4. Reset Color Settings:

1. Go to "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Colors."
   
2. Toggle off "Automatically pick an accent color from my background."
   
3. Choose a specific color for your accent color.
   
4. Restart your computer and check if the title bar colors are correct.
   

5. Registry Editor (Advanced):

1. Open Registry Editor by pressing Win + R, typing regedit and pressing Enter.
   
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
   
3. Check if there's a DWORD value named AccentColorInactive If not, create it and set its value to the same as AccentColor
   
4. Restart your computer.

Windows 10 Background Slideshow Accent Color Doesn't Work!

This is a similar if not exactly the same issue. The RTM version of Windows 10 had no issues related to automatic color accents. It all started for me when I just now upgraded to the Fall Update version 1511. I have included specs of my laptop in the bottom
along with graphics driver version, and others should follow suite.

The accent color changes to default blue under two independent conditions:

1) When the slideshow changes images, it reverts to the default blue accent color.

2) When the Personalization settings is opened. (see next paragraph)

I open the Personalization settings by right clicking on the desktop.

Then the following happens in quick succession, without user input:

1) The preview window shows the correct auto color where it should.

2) The preview window cycles to show the next image.

3) The accent color changes to blue in preview window.

4) The accent color changes for the desktop.

Steps taken to fix:

1) Turn Off/On automatic accent color, resets correct color but end result is same.

2) Turn Off automatic accent color, chose random color (green), turn On, correct auto color, end result is still same.

I have nothing against blue but a shade of orange bests matches my background and its quite annoying.

For trouble shooting, specs of laptop: (I think people should list specs)

Processor: i5-3210M

Graphics: Geforce GTX 660M

Graphics Driver: 361.43 (released 12/21/15)

 

accent color

The accent color (primarily the red shades) are missing in window 10 and do not know why. Any suggestion how to get the original window 10 accent colors back? Thank you.
