Windows 10: Why do I have to turn off core isolation in window defender?

My cores and CPU is handled by Alianware command center also fan speed and the Windows Defender denied it the data it needed to manage those hardware part. There reason why I discovered that something is wrong was because the screen blacked out of mismanagement of the fan speed and overheated the device. Now I get warranty notification every time I check if the command center is working. I really hope that no real damage was caused though I have lost trust in window defender hardware security. Please cooperate with the device producers rather than cause headache to the users.

Cannot Turn On Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Settings

From Tutorial -> Turn On or Off Core Isolation Memory Integrity in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials

Not able to perform steps in Option 1
Under "Windows Defender Security Center", "Device Security" is not an option.
Winver reports Version 1709 (OS build 16299 402)
The processor is Intel I3
Virtualization is enabled in system BIOS.


Please advise.

It looks like the .reg file in step 2 of Option Two in this tutorial worked to turn on Core isolation for you.

Correct, you could use step 3 to turn it off.

It can be the BIOS update released by your manufacturer through windows updates which might have changed the status from Enabled to disabled. However here are the steps to enable it again.

• Open start menu and search for Windows Defender Security Center.
  
• Go to Device Security.
  
• You will be able to find Core Isolation, please click on Core Isolation details.
  
• Then you can turn it on.
  

Restart is restart is required for the changes to be effective. Please write back, if you need any further assistance.
