Windows 10: Why do i have a ton of folders like this in my OS

not real sure if this is normal, but my pc has a ton of different folders like this, some have files, some completely empty. i also cannot enable trusted execution without getting an unkown device in my device manager. Super irritating. have i been hacked? someone have control of my PC? I clean install windows and do the dell factory image install and the same **** happens over and over

Why does all of my folder icons look like this?

It is possible that your folder icons have two blue arrows pointing towards each other because the NTFS compression is enabled. To efficiently assist you, we'd like to gather more information:

• Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
• Could you tell us what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow these steps on how to disable NTFS compression:

• Right-click the folder you're referring to and select Properties.
• Under General tab, select Advance button.
• Under Compress or Encrypt attribute, disable Compress contents to save disk space.

Downloads folder is the Documents folder

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.
