Windows 10: Why did I lose disk capacity?

So when I went into Windows one day and realised there was something wrong, I decided to reinstall Windows.After doing that, I ran into something...My disk allowance had gotten lower!It isn't just "Oh just delete some files"The storage space on my disk had been cut!My disk allowance was originally 256 GB, and now its 238.47 GB!What can I do to make my storage allowance rise up to what it originally was?

100% Disk Capacity

Hey,

I bought a new Asus gaming laptop, but whenever I use my laptop it is always slow, lagging and unresponsive sometimes. Then I discovered that my disk capacity is always 100% although I am not using any heavy programs. I tried many solutions suggested on
the web but never actually worked. So please can you help me find a proper solution?

 

Foreign Disk

Hi,

You will only lose the data in the Foreign Disk once you convert it to a "Basic Disk" in Disk Management.

To allow the disk to be recognized, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and type "Disk Management" and click on it.
• Right-click on the foreign disk and select "Import Foreign Disks..."

Yes, you can create a partition in a disk without losing your data by using
Disk Management.

Here's how:

• Search for Disk Management from the Cortana search field.
  
• Click on Create and format hard disk partitions from the results.
  
• Right-click the unallocated space, then click New Simple Volume.
  
• Click the Next button from the window that will pop-up.
  
• Make sure that you input a size in the limit of the available unallocated space. Continue the steps to finish creating a partition.
