Windows 10: Why can't I cast to my Samsung TV using windows 11?

Samsung 55 tv refuses to cast with windows 11i have an Ibuypower PC. I have tried everything from checking network settings to making devices public. It will show on the tv as "please wait" but then nothing happens.On pc in cast option, it says can't connect.

I am trying to cast my windows 11 to my samsung smart TV.

The PC and the TV are connected to the same wifi network. My PC is not detecting the Samsung TV as a, display in the cast settings.

I also tried to use my samsung galaxy tab but still my pc fails to detect the same.

However I am able to project my samsung tab to my pc.

I have tried disabling my Norton 360 firewall but still the same result.

I have a nvidia rtx 4080 graphics card in my pc.. Does that matter as I read that nvidia doesn't support miracast and not sure if it's true.

The other similar thread to this says 'Cast to' used to work to a Samsung TV but now it doesn't. This would imply something is 'wrong' with our Win 10?

Can anyone suggest some more troubleshooting steps to try to determine what the issue is?
