Windows 10: Why are some photos in my onedrive pictures folder not showing in the photos app?

Many of the photo files stored within the pictures folder on onedrive do not show up in the photos section.This seemed to occur after I got a new phone

Updating folder path in Windows 10 Photo App

After several weeks work putting together a holiday video using the Windows 10 Photo App when I now open the app it can no longer find any of my photos. Every file in the Storyboard shows the sad emoticon and a message stating "We can't find this file".

I have tried all of the obvious steps of updating Settings -> Sources to include the folder containing all the source material (E:\Photos)

Being understandably reluctant to give up completely on my work I discovered that the file format is SQLite and so managed to open the database using DB Browser for SQLite. The table Folder reveals the list below. I have tried various SQL scripts to try to correct the references to point to E:\Photos, all of which have failed.

When first opening the database to view the folders I also receive a message stating I have missing collating sequences. I've been told this is because the database is using collating sequences that are missing in DB Browser.

Can anyone please suggest how to correct the references in the database so that Windows 10 Photo App is able to find my photos?

 

Pictures subfolder not shown in OneDrive Photos

Hi All!

I've created subfolder in Pictures folder on OneDrive and put some photos there. But these photos are not visible neither in Photos OneDrive Web app, nor in Photos Windows app.

All other subfolders in Pictures folder are shown in both places - in Photos app in Windows and also in web version of Photos on OneDrive.

Any suggestions?

 

OneDrive iOS App Photos Tab Showing All Photos Rather Than Just My Just Pictures Folder

In the iOS OneDrive app photos are displayed in the Photos tab from all folders in my OneDrive collection, not just photos from my Pictures folder. In Windows 10 i have the option checked in the photos app to only show photos from my Pictures folder. I
realise this is a different app. When I log into OneDrive through a browser on a PC and then navigate to the Photos tab only the photos from my Pictures folder are displayed.

Therefore both my PC through the Windows Photos App, also the OneDrive website through a browser operate correctly displaying only photos from my Pictures folder int the respective Photos tab's. But when I use the iOS app for OneDrive I see a plethora of
photos from my music library, other folders etc which are not part of my Pictures directory directory folder.

How do set the OneDrive app (iOS) only to show photos from my Pictures folder in the app. OneDrive is not functioning the same across all platforms as one would expect. I'm assuming there is setting I'm not seeing....
