Windows 10: Why are my friends not popping up under the 'friends' list on Minecraft Bedrock?

I've tried restarting my laptop, resetting my network, making sure multiplayer + joining clubs + cross play is allowed then running an SFC scan and restarting my laptop as per the instructions of a so called X-Box gamer. The first time my friend sent me an invite an envolope icon appeared on the home page of my bedrock page, I clicked it, and nothing happened. I didn't join the server but according to my friends it says I've joined the realm and am just sitting on the Minecraft home page. What is happening??? I bought a realms subscription for Bedrock about a year ago to play with a couple of

Can't see friends in Minecraft friends list

All are on Bedrock Edition. Me (Win 10), friend a (PS4), and friend b (Win 10). I did all the security check list and made sure I appear ONLINE. I can connect to the PS4 WHEN their names appear in the list but the other Win 10 I can't. What next?

I have Bedrock edition too, and there is really no way to add random people unless you have their exact Username. I guess you could go on Social media and ask people for a Minecraft Bedrock username to add...

Is there anyway I can get Minecraft bedrock now, I didn't know what minecraft bedrock was up until recently and I want to get it to play with friends but I don't know how because its after April 20th
