    Why and what is secure system doing? is it malware?


    I have just reset my computer and have just noticed a process in task manager called secure system that is using a constant 123.4 MB. I've heard that this may come from Vms but I haven't installed since I have reset my computer. I have memory integrity offbecause I can't install because of driver conflicts and virtual machine platform is off. I am running windows 11 home. When I look at properties of secure system it is a file called ntoskrnl, and is signed by microsoft. I don't care too much about the memory, but just wondering if it is effected by malware.

    Do I Need Anti-Malware for Windows 10?

    That depends on your own preferences and habits.

    Windows 10 comes with in-built AV Windows Defender.
