Windows 10: Where can I get a compatible app that will open links?

I purchased Norton Utilities Ultimate and ran it and after it did whatever it was supposed to do, I can't open any links. I have Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers, but I can't find them, and I can't get to the internet. I uninstalled Norton but it didn't help. I get the following message when I go to a link. Your PC doesn't have an app that can open this link. Try looking for a compatible app in the Microsoft Store. I looked and there are so many apps there that I have no idea which is compatible or not. I followed the steps about default apps and looked there. I do not see Edge or Chrome. I

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Phone Link App does not open/start

I have already tried these steps, and just tried again now.

I additionally tried to run Repair as well as Reset, but the App still does not run.

I had seen the post from the link you sent here, but found this not very useful, as some of the instructions suggested do not seem to exist on my Windows edition, and also require the App to open to get to the suggestions listed, which I am unable to do.

Just to clarify, I am running Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2.

 

Can't open Outlook links in Edge

In the meantime, we suggest that you reset Microsoft Edge. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on More options […].
• Click on Settings.
• Click on ‘Choose what to clear’.
• Select all of them and click on Clear all.
