Windows 10: When the laptop is not connected to AC adapter, Gpu & fans and keyboard light stops working

I have been using an ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HE, which has integrated GPUs: Intel UHD Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.Everything was functioning normally until I opened my laptop to apply thermal paste. After that, whenever my laptop is not connected to the AC adapter, the NVIDIA GPU is missing, and the laptop fans and keyboard lights stop working. When I connect it to the adapter, the GPU starts working, as do the fans although sometimes the fans don't work, and I need to restart the computer. However, the keyboard lights seem to be stuck in "breathing" mode.How can I solve these i

Laptop Ac Adapter Melting!!

Hi all my dad bought me his laptop this morning.He said its been overheating and that maybe the fan had stopped working.Upon opening the laptop i noticed the fan was working fine.It was when i unplugged the ac adapter cable that i noticed the connection was red hot and that it had been melting the plastic at the end of the ac adapter cable.Any ideas on whats going wrong? i've tried leaving the battery out but the end of the cable is still getting red hot.

Windows 10 fan running loud and non-stop

Hi JKaris,

Let’s remove the battery from the computer and run the laptop on AC power supply and check if the
fan makes noise.

Also perform a hard reset and check if it helps.

• Turn off the Laptop.
• Disconnect all peripheral devices and remove all USB devices and media cards.
  
• Disconnect the AC power adapter and remove the battery.
• Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
• Connect the battery, reconnect the AC power adapter.
• Turn on the Laptop.

Try this and update us the results.
