Screen Resolution too big

Firstly, try to install all the available Windows Updates and check if it fixes the issue.

I suggest you to change the screen resolution settings and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and type Change Screen Resolution and click on the option listed.
• Under resolution try changing the resolution settings.

Also try to install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website and check.

The monitor and cable are important factors when using high refresh rate.

TV's are more likely to run lower refresh rates at certain resolutions. 1440x1080 is not very common., and custom

resolutions don't always function as well as standard. The monitor may be forcing 60Hz as a protective measure if

1440x1080 is not standard for that monitor.

My 24" 144Hz monitor only has an 1440x900 option, and there are no 1440 options on my 27" 144Hz monitor.

- Are you using the monitor cable provided by the mfg of the monitor ?

- With any Custom Resolution options disabled....

Have you looked in Settings > Display - scroll down to > Advanced Display Settings (below 3D mode).

Then click on Display Adapter Properties > List All Modes.

You can verify if the monitor can run over 60Hz @1440x1080 here.

When I change my resolution to 1440x1080 (nomally 1920x1080 144hz) my hertz resets to 60hz and then if I try to change back to 144hz my resolution goes to 640x280 or something so im forced to play 1920x1080 144hz instead of what I want which is 1440x1080
