    Hello,

    I have recently build a custom PC.
    My computer crashes very often, almost always while playing games.
    Looking into the crash info using the Event Viewer tool, I have a few errors. I am not sure which one is the most relevant.

    I noticed this related question: Redirecting

    But I do not have a C:\Windows\Minidump or a %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP directory, as specified in System Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Dump File.

    Can anyone help with identifying the root cause of this issue ?

    WHEA Event ID 46 - system crash without BSOD

    Hi all,

    For the last few weeks, I have been experiencing lock ups with my PC. The screen goes black and the CPU LED illuminates on the motherboard. The front panel becomes unresponsive and the only way to power the locked system down is by switching off at the PSU.

    WHEA Logger generates an error with Event ID 46 and states the following;

    A fatal hardware error has occurred.

    Component: Memory

    Error Source: Machine Check Exception

    The details view of this entry contains further information.

    I have tested my RAM with memtest86 and all seems in order.

    I have disabled PBO and C-States in BIOS. Updated BIOS and turned off XMP, the fault still stands.

    Does anyone have any other suggestions or recommendations or does it seem like my CPU is faulty?

    Here is a link to my latest MiniDump if anyone is able to analyse it for me - 070123-11562-01.zip
