Windows 10: What's happening with my Internet

Well, first of i would like to say that i know this probably isn't the right place to ask for help but maybe someone from here can help me with this :


About 3 weeks ago my ping decided to just get over 500ms most of the time and I really don't know what to do, i've already searched a lot but nothing seems to help

Here are some details :


So first of what happened : I was talking with some friends in discord when suddenly i looked at that connection bar and it said 500ms (or even more), also I tried to play cs:go for example and in some servers the ping keeps very high while in some other servers i can play without any problems

Whenever i join discord through my phone for example my ping is pretty good and there's no connectivity problems


Already tried :

• Resetting the router (after resetting it my ping gets good for some time (like 2/3 min))
• Resetting the pc
• Unplugging the ethernet cable and plugging it back
• Update Ethernet drivers
• Search for virus/malware
• Reinstall everything (including drivers and the whole Win system)
• Changing Ethernet port
• Only letting my Cable on the router and change through ports

Now there are some weird points : This ping issue is only happening in my computer (phone doesn't have this problem), it seems constant that the high ping only comes from tuesday to thursday (only 2 full weeks with this problem so not sure)


So I would like some opinions : Where do y'all think the problem is coming from, I'm almost sure that the problem is from my router (For the fact that whenever I reset it the ping gets low but whenever I reset my computer ping keeps high and if I just unplug the cable the ping keeps high too)

What about netflix?... With 33% of the peak internet volume, why is it not listed?.

Netflix is at least equal to youtube.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
