Windows 10: What to do if I can't play any online games on my new laptop?

I got a brand new laptop on which I can't seem to play games because it randomly disconnects me because of ping issues. I know there is nothing wrong with the internet. If I don't play anything everything loads very fast for example youtube, gmail, steam, anything. But when it comes to games and I mean all games I can't play them I tried fixing it by following this guide from microsoft and now I can't even load into games. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/problem-with-wifi-while-playing-games/b6a468d1-a637-4b2d-a96d-523fb8a3c283 if you have the same problem don't do

Playing old pc games on new laptop(windows 10)

Can't play an old pc game on my new laptop. Tried clicking on properties but next step was click on compatability tab and this tab was not there??? Tried another way to run a test program for compatibility but it didnt run. Triedin MS-DOS mode didnt
work. And tried running DOS BOX installing, it installed but didnt open to see if coukd find game and play. ???

 

"Video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error" while playing games on my Dell G3 laptop ?

So every time I play a game after like half an hour or so, my game crashes (blue screen giving the error VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR ), then when I relaunch the laptop my discrete GPU is gone, like missing from task manager and hidden in device manager. To fix it I have to restart my laptop then the Nvidia drivers come back and when I play my games again the same problem happens after a few minutes of playing the game. It's never happened unless I'm playing a game.
I have tried:

• reinstalling the graphics driver from NVIDIA.
  
• removing the graphics driver using DDU in safe mode and reinstalling the latest one.
  
• running sfc and dism
  
  None of the above methods helped.
  My laptop is out of warranty so don't suggest I take it to the Dell service center as they will just say to replace the motherboard, I know that and that will be like buying a new laptop.
  
  My laptop is a Dell G3 15 3500
  Specs -
  i7-10750H
  RTX 2060 6gb
  16Gb ram
  256Gb SSD
  Windows 11 home
  

 

Laptop goes to sleep when the LID is closed while playing the game.

• Have you connected the external monitor to the Laptop?
• Did you make any recent changes prior to the issue?
• Are you facing this issue specifically when playing the specific Game?
• Are you facing this issue after any recent updates installed?

This issue might have caused due to the power settings for the closing of LID is set to sleep mode.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X keys and select the Control Panel.
• Select Power options by searching in search box.
• Right side select Change Plan setting next to the power plans.
• Select the Change advanced Power plan settings.
• Under the list select and expand Power buttons and lid.
• Select Turn off the display under the drop down of setting.
• Click Apply. Ok.
• Close the LID and Check if the issue resolves.
