Windows 10: What is wrong with my microsoft store?

I'll list a couple problems I'm having with it right now. I have had these issues for a while, but I'm basically at my limit. I want them gone.

I've been trying to download the Xbox app for around a week at this point.If I click install, it could lock me out from clicking again.It could do absolutely nothing.It sometimes even gives me error messages. (I don't remember the one I just got. x0086____? Honestly don't know.)

I've tried resetting my Microsoft store multiple times to no avail. I've even attempted downloading the Xbox app off of the website, but that gets stuck mid download and forces me to close it from task manager.

At the same time, the store has been trying to install Direct X runtime and three other apps for as long as I can remember. Every time I cancel those, they come back the next day. Even if I leave it alone, nothing finishes downloading anyways.

The Xbox app problem is kind of urgent, as I just renewed my game pass for a month, and want to at least use it before it's gone. The direct x runtime, as far as I know, hasn't completely affected me other than being pretty annoying.

Does anyone know what to do in either of these situations?

(I'm going to have to edit this, because I just noticed another problem. I literally just cannot download anything. At all. Like, nothing. I have a little more urgency now, so all help is needed.)

App store and Microsoft account

Thank you for the advice

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

To resolve your concern about Windows Store, we suggest for you to follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R key to open Run.
• Type wsreset.exe and press
  Enter.
• Restart the PC, sign in with your Microsoft user account and check if you are able to find Windows Store.

Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

Steps:

• Press Windows key and type

• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
