Windows 10: What is Windows Media Creation Tool Error 0x80070006 - 0x90018 and how do I fix it?

I am getting the error code 0x80070006 - 0x90018 when trying to use the Windows Media Creation too to create a bootable USB drive to do a fresh install of windows. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Hey there, I've recently gotten a virus on my PC. I tried all solutions until I gave up and went to reinstall Windows on there. I got another laptop x64 which is the same, used the Windows Media Creation Tool. When I did everything right to the USB Flash
drive part, I get an error saying "There was a problem running this tool" Error code: 0x80070006 - 0x90018. I tried everything else like trying to "Unblock" when I click properties, however I couldn't find and was not sure if it was actually unblocked. Any
solutions?

I was trying to make a Windows 11 installation tool (USB flashdrive) but I got this error code: 0x80070006 - 0x90018. I don't know what is wrong. I'm using my work computer and it all seemed fine but once I get to the point when I should download Windows to the flash drive, the process stops there. I don't have a DVD drive so I cannot use it to create the tool.

Hi All,
For some weird reason I am getting the error code: 0x80080005-0x90018 when I attempt to download Windows 10 to a USB or a ISO using the Media Creation Tool 21H1.exe. I have never had this problem before. I have tried disabling the 3rd party antivirus ESET and still same error. I have had ESET for many years and done this many times without error codes. I don't know what is causing it and google is not helping me much. Maybe I have been overlooking something but can't see what it is *Sad
Any suggestions?
