Windows 10: What is the RUXIM folder inside of C:\Program Files?

So, i was checking out the system files on my Windows 11 desktop, while this folder appeared. I didn't knew what was that.When i checked it's inside, there was some apps that had an icon that looks like the Windows Update icon from Windows 10 inside a blue background.

If you can create folders inside System folders such as "C:\Program Files" then you must have changed the UAC setting away from its default value. This creates a risk for your machine.

To modify things inside system folders you can do this:

1. Open an elevated command prompt (cmd.exe)
2. Type these commands and press Enter after each:
   
   taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
   
   (the screen will go black)
   
   explorer.exe

By doing this you will allow applications to modify protected system files, folders or registry keys without first asking for your permission.

 

IS there a place where I can download the RUXIM folder?

I am on windows 10 Pro 22H2. I was cleaning up some corrupt files in hte Programs folder and accidently did a hard delete of the RUXIM folder by doing shift+delete key. I've tried doing a recover with Disk Drill and I am unable to recover the folder and files. Is there no place to download a RUXIM folder that has all the files in it? I don't want ot re-isntall the OS. What if I were to reinstall a windows update? would that fix the problem? I'm on a laptop by the way..

it's because the change simply does not happen?

However, I was able to do it on folders INSIDE==> Program files and Program files (x86) by changing elevated privileges SEE PRIOR POSTS and Associated Pictures. I am not sure if the icon for the top folder Program files and the icon for Program files(x86)
can be changed.

The only solution that I can think of is going ONE LEVEL Up to Drive C: and change elevated privileges for ALL FOLDERS inside Drive C which would include all Windows System folders where Program Files and Program Files (x86) would be included too. This
would have to be done with an Administrative Account.

You can try doing this and let me know if it works to change the icon on Program files and Program files x86 folder

I'm not that savvy in changing or getting elevated privileges although I have done it for other folders.
