We continue making it easier to work with Microsoft Forms, the simple way to create surveys, quizzes, and polls. Recent updates give you more control over working with questions, let you bring forms into Stream, and improve security measures for recently disactivated users.

Section: Section, released earlier this month, lets you segment your survey, quiz, or poll questions into individual pages. Each page can include a description and multimedia content to give respondents more context. You might decide the first page of your survey—let’s assume you’re getting input on the new office—should have just one question and a short video explaining the relocation. The remaining questions are then organized into separate pages based on question types (e.g., potential locations, volunteers, layout ideas, etc.) with two sentences at the top of each page describing the purpose of those questions. Stream integration: You can now easily add surveys, quizzes, and polls into your Stream videos. Your form appears as a separate, clickable element in the Stream video’s scrubber so it doesn’t interrupt your media. At the end of the form, which opens apart from the video but still in the video frame, a “Continue video” button appears that brings viewers back to their current spot in the video. Admin ownership transfer: If your company has been using Microsoft Forms for a while, you probably have some old, unused forms created by former employees that, until recently, you couldn’t access. With admin ownership transfer you can transfer form ownership of a disabled account to an active one, helping prevent data leaks while improving visibility into all existing forms. Microsoft announces 100% integration of Office.com and Microsoft Forms

We are thrilled to announce 100% integration of Office.com and Microsoft Forms for our commercial and consumer customers! This means multiple ways for you to create a new form, find an existing form, or search for a form in the suite header of Office.com.

To create a new form, click New, and then choose Forms survey.

To access existing forms, go to the Recent tab under Documents.

You can also search for an existing form by title.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.

The next LTSC release of Windows Server

The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

Updated portal and new languages for Microsoft Forms

Today, we’re introducing several updates to Microsoft Forms, including improvements to the Forms portal, more languages and right-to-left reading support.

We are introducing significant improvements to the Forms portal page. With the new design, users will see a snapshot of each form, which includes the form title, background image and number of responses. The new search box, on the upper right corner, will help users quickly find a form either by its title or owner’s name.

More languages and right-to-left reading support

With this update, we’re introducing 26 new languages to Forms—bringing the total to 68 languages. We are also enabling RTL (right-to-left) reading support for Hebrew and Arabic users, so users can create and respond to forms, as well as view forms results.

Create your own form or quiz

Educators can easily create a new form or quiz, add questions, customize settings, share their forms and check on the results. Just follow these simple steps:

Sign in and create a new survey form or quiz form.

Adjust the settings for the form.

Share the form with others.

Check the form results.
