Windows 10: Weird secure system process

    Weird secure system process


    Hi, so I was recently getting high memory usage and I was trying to figure out why. I was able to resolve it but I noticed this process called "Secure System" I tried to find more about it but I only got results for Windows 10 Enterprise. I took a look at it with process explorer and it shows as suspended. What is this process?

    Weird process running - "Monitor Virutal Wlan Service"


    I was checking my system configuration and happened across this weird one!

    Weird secure system process [​IMG]

    Note the spelling:
    "Monitor Virutal Wlan Service" - "Virutal" rather than "Virtual" but either way, I can see no reference to such a process on the net.

    Searching instead for "Virutal Wlan" turns up a number of items, some suggesting disable a process and some suggesting an infection.

    I am running Windows 10 having gone via the 8.1 route without any serious problems. Used to be a member of the Seven Forum. Not really a technical expert, rather a fairly competent pensioner!

    Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

    Weird secure system process

    TCPView shows multiple [System Process] network connections...

    The list has a huge variation of IPs. I haven't noted any pattern in what IPs appear.

    Could you suggest how I could identify this process or set of processes referred to as [System Process]?
