    VGA light problem on motherboard


    I was cleaning and dusting my pc and when I booted my pc back up after I was done, it started to show the VGA light on my motherboard. Before I was cleaning my pc, it was working completely fine with no issues. Only after I finished cleaning dust in my pc, it would show the VGA light on. I haven’t touched the inside of my computer, only the front mesh panel and the dust filters. My gpu was working fine before, so was my integrated gpu in my cpu. I was wondering what the problem could possibly be?specs: ryzen 7 5700gmobo: rog strix b550-f gaming wifi ii ram: 32 gigs 3600mhzgpu: rx 580

    Red VGA light on motherboard

    I have a problem, whenever I turn my pc on it boots up fine. However there is no display on the motherboard, aswell as the fact whenever I turn my pc on a red vga light appears on the motherboard. I have already tried or attempted to reseat the gpu, swap out ram, (attempt to update bios), and try a different gpu only for the vga light to still show. Every now and then the pc will post and my monitor will show display but it later crashes.

    My specs include

    Ryzen 5 7600x

    Asus tuf gaming 3070ti

    G skill trident z5 rgb 32gb ddr5 ram

    Samsung 980 pro ssd 1tb

    Corsair 750x

    Gigabyte b650m aorous elite ax

    I'm glad to help you today!

    Kindly explain your concern more in detail please. Are you pertaining to the VGA light from your motherboard? If it is, kindly try reseating your GPU and its connection as well to the motherboard.

    It would be much better if you can test it with a monitor connected to it but that's currently impossible at the moment as you've mentioned.

    I see, the vga light you're seeing is definitely connected to the display. The vga is lit since there's nothing connected to your graphics card.
