  2. Slow Wi-Fi Download Speed On Windows 11 22H2

Well, this is a bit frustrating to say the least, but I have to get this off my chest anyway. :/

Has anyone else out there been experiencing really slow internet download speeds either via Wi-Fi or ethernet? For me, the issue is purely with the Wi-Fi since I don't have an ethernet connection in my room. For anyone wondering, my pc is actually a custom-built & if anyone is curious or needs to know about the components that are part of my setup, feel free to have a look at my PCPARTPICKER list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t232Y9 I'm on a 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 connection & have to be connected to our access point. And as the title says, the issue is with the download speeds on my connection; upload speeds are good. Like going on Youtube to watch some videos, those load up just fine, but I've noticed with like movie sites & trying to download files, the speeds REALLY SUCK! I already use the ip address provided by my ISP & don't really bother with changing anything since overall, our internet speed is really good throughout the house. BTW, I'm on Windows 11 Pro 22H2 OS Build 22621.675.

Of course, 1 of the first things I did was look up some solutions/articles pertaining to this issue. Windows Report has a guide --Just search up "How to Fix Slow Inernet Speed in Windows 11 [Ultimate Guide]" on the site & you'll find it.-- that I looked through which goes over the issue, & there's actually a good number of steps to try which are supposed to help. But I'm not quite sure what there is left for me to try- I'm quite close to the A.P., which means I don't have any issues with reception or interference. I'm already on the latest Wi-Fi driver, & if there happens to be any app(s) that are running in the background, I simply close them with Task Manager even though I don't really have anything else that actually uses up my internet bandwidth. Also, running the Internet Connections troubleshooter has proved rather useless because when I DO run it, it comes back saying "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem." And yes, I even checked if metered connections are off which can sometimes cause problems. [It's off by default which is fortunate.] The article happens to mention that Windows is set to choose the DNS server by default but due to issues with it, your internet might be slow. Thus, they recommend switching to an open-source DNS for better internet speed. But do I technically not need to do this given that only my download speeds are affected, or should I still consider switching? Cause I technically don't know if version 22H2 actually changes or improves any internet-related speeds or whatnot. Lastly, I should mention that I ran the system file checker earlier & it said it found & managed to successfully repair some corrupted system files, but the issue is obviously still there. ‍♂️

From what I've gathered, some people out there have definitely reported issues with their internet connection in Windows 11, but as any logical person, I know it will vary from person-to-person as to whether there will be problems or not. Still, I'm not quite sure what to do regarding this, but I'm certain there is a solution out there to fix this- I just don't know what!

Anyway, if you happen to need more details or wish to ask me ANYTHING about this, feel free to ask & I'll be sure to reply! I do hope that someone out there has a solution which will work for me. Thanks in advance!
