  1. User logged off or the session is locked?

Hi,Is it possible to identify using the event viewer or other tools if a user logged off from his workstation or he only locked the session? And if the session is locked, how can I distinguish between the user actively locked the session or if the session was locked due to timeout? Thanks!Tal

Allow just one user session at time

Here in home we have an PC with only 4GB RAM, and when we have more than one user logged in (more than one session opened) the computer get a bit slow.

So, to prevent memory usage with users sessions Locked (logged in), is any way to configure Windows 10 to show just a Sign Out option without a Lock option? Or maybe a option to Sign Out all the opened sessions when an new user Sign-in?

    Thank you

I cannot switch users withtout closing session - Windows 10 Pro fully up-to-date

    Hi,

I cannot swtich between Windows 10 users withtout closing the active session. If I lock the system or it gets suspended, etc... when I come back, I have to log-in with the last active user before being able to switch users... which you can imagine is very
annoying when your share a PC... among other reasons because maybe it's not you who is trying to access... and the other user doesn't know your password.

It's happening to me in two laptops, one for home (a Surface Pro 3), and other for work (Dell XPS13)... so I'm pretty sure it's a windows issue.... I don't remember exactly when this started to happen but it has not been so always.

I remember that before I could go to my current user, click on it and then I saw options to Shutdown/Close session/Suspend plus a list of other users... then I just had to click on other user to switch sessions... Now, I cannot see the list of other users.

Also, when the screen is locked (on purpose or because a timeout) and you try to log-in, there is just one possibility: current active user. There is no way to log-in with another user but the one that was active when the session get locked....

What's going on? How can I change this? This is really annoying when sharing the Surface...

    Thanks

User logged off or the session is locked?

Enable or Disable Lock Screen in Windows 10

    Hello again:
    Sorry for answering too late.
I think all my tests are correct and i think i have drawn conclusions:

The Method THREE works for me at last. Following the steps all are OK...but there's 3 important things:

    • I reboot the PC-HTPC ... starting the task manager (and the method THREE). Starting too 3 programs (openPHT = plex media theater + Chrome + Steam client.
    • If a remote session from another PC at home is started (logging whatever user, indeed the same -htpc) and after the session is closed (RDP remote desktop) ... then: in amount of time the damn lock-screen appears (and i don't know why the openPHT its closed). I mean: starting a RDP session and closing after, causes the PC to see the lock screen. It doesn't matter what user to use
    • The same procedure using teamviewer (i asume the PC-HTPC "detects" another user loggin in) causing the same as above.

If a let the PC-HTPC without logging in from another computer, then, everything is OK about the lock screen. Doesn't apperars.
    The question is:
How Win10 pro is "detecting" this "intrusions / loggins" causing the re-show the lock screen.
I imagine that there is a normal user logged (-htpc) ... if the same user is doing "another logging" from another PC, the first one user are quit?..

It's a mess...otherwise, if i remain the PC in normal working, everything is OK
Sorry if explaining me so bad!
