  1. USB Booting issue

I have only corrupted windows installed, when i tried to boot up the windows with a usb, it did the loading then went to automatic repair infinitley. that was with the windows boot manager having boot priority. When i try with usb priority, it loads for a little bit then does weird loading bug like loading screen circles everywhere.

    :)

    USB boot for bios update

Did the first step. It already doesn't work. Note the capacities and drive letters M:/N: The HP utility is about to format my raid-1 volume containing my 2 750gb drives. It thinks it's the usb stick. I can not select any other drives in the HP utility. My 512mb usb stick is U:.

    Any other suggestions?

  3. Windows 11 usb boot issue

    Hi, Richard Collins3

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

If your Windows 11 USB is not being recognized as a bootable device, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check USB Format and Partition Style: Ensure that the USB drive is formatted as FAT32 and uses a GPT partition style, as this is required for UEFI boot.
    2. BIOS/UEFI Settings:
      • Ensure that the USB drive is recognized in the BIOS/UEFI.
      • Check if the USB boot is enabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings.
      • If your PC supports UEFI, make sure it's not set to Legacy or CSM boot mode.
      • Check the boot order to ensure the USB drive is listed as the first boot device.
    3. Fast Boot: Disable Fast Boot in the BIOS/UEFI settings, as this can sometimes prevent the system from recognizing bootable USB drives.
    4. Create a New Bootable USB: If you have access to another Windows machine, you can try creating a new bootable USB using the Windows Media Creation Tool.
      • After downloading, run the media creation tool. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
      • If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
      • On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
      • Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit) for Windows 11.
      • Select which media you want to use:
      • USB flash drive: Attach a blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space. Any content on the flash drive will be deleted.
    5. Check for Hardware Issues: There might be a hardware issue with the USB ports or the motherboard. Test the USB on another computer to ensure it's working correctly. You can also try plugging the USB into a different port. Sometimes certain ports do not support booting.
Please remember to back up any important data from your Ubuntu installation before attempting to install Windows 11, as the installation process will erase all data on the hard drive.

If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards

    USB Booting issue

    Help with USB Boot Image

I am trying to boot from my USB flash drive. I followed the instructions step for step that are in the article on this website. I downloaded the HP program and the USB Image zip file. I ran the HP flash program and pointed it to the folder where I unzipped the USB Image files to. I then copied all the files over to the USB memory stick as instructed. When I restart my computer and press F12 to go to the boot menu I have 3 options: SATA hard drive, CD-ROM drive, or USB Device. So I choose USB device and when it reads the USB memory stick all I get is the error "Non-system disk, replace and hit any key" Its like the USB memory is missing some system files or it doesnt have the master boot record or something. Somebody please HELP!!! I want to flash the bios in a new video card and I have to boot to DOS and I dont have a floppy drive and I have Win XP so a USB boot is probably the best option I have.
