Windows 10: Upgradng from Windows 10 2016 LTSC to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC

Hello, according to Microsoft's AI Co-pilot, upgrading from a computer running Windows 10 2016 LTSB is free to upgrade to it's Windows 11 Counterpart, is this true? And what is the correct way to go about this?

How to upgrade Windows 10 Enterprise version 1809 LTSC to the latest version of Enterprise LTSC

I wanted to upgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC version 1809 to the latest version of Enterprise.

Tried to upgrade by downloading the latest copy of enterprise LTSC from MS. Mounted and ran the setup but it says you can't keep anything.

My question is how to keep apps & data while upgrading enterprise LTSC to the latest version. Is there any other way to upgrade Windows 10 enterprise LTSC to the latest version?

And that's the problem here. Enterprise license itself is a volume license. LTSC license is not sold as individual license. It requires purchasing of at least 5 or above. So there's no way for you to just go buy one license for your enterprise LTSC. If you find a third party vendor that will sell you one LTSC license, it would be actually against the licensing terms.

So, if you want to continue using this computer, your best route is to license it with either Home or Pro. As I have mentioned above, you can purchase a Windows 11 license but use it to activate Windows 10 because Windows 10/11 use the same license. Microsoft doesn't sell Windows 10 license anymore. The price of Windows 11 home and pro licenses are the same as what Windows 10 home/pro used to be.
