Windows 10: Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, Install failed with code 0xc004f050

Running a Dell PC with 12th Gen IntelR CoreTM i5-12400 2.50 GHz and Windows 11 Home.I clicked on 'Upgrade in the Microsoft App', purchased upgraded to Windows 11 Pro, payment accepted,Install failed with code 0xc004f050

Windows 10 Pro upgrade problem, error code 0xc004f050

I am upgrading from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro. I receive error code 0xc004f050 when entering the code.

Please help.

Note: I could not get the laptop to boot from the USB, so I installed directly from the USB; then entered the new key and received the error code 0xc004f050

Bought a key to try to upgrade to windows 11 pro from windows 11 home, but keep getting the same error code.

You can try and skipping entering the code on install and then do it after the install.

You might have to do a clean install or if this was a Home upgrade from 7 or 8 to 10, then roll back to 7 or 8 and keep your files and settings, then do the Pro upgrade.
