Windows 10: Uninstalled BitDefender, laptop stuck in restart

I have BitDefender Free version on Windows 10. I followed the instructions at https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2791 to uninstall it. Unfortunately, I followed with Windows 11 process rather than the Windows 10 process. This means uninstalling BitDefender from the APPWIZ.CPL tool rather than BitDefender Security folder. I got no complaint messages, but I was prompted to restart my laptop. The laptop has been stuck in a startup step for about 10 minutes, with the message "Getting Windows ready. Don't turn off your computer".Could this ha

Bitdefender pop up error at restart

Every time I reboot my laptop (windows 10 pro), it does the normal 'restarting'
then I get this pop up. If left alone it goes away, and the laptop restarts.
The file BitDefender Threat Scanner.dmp in is not readable in notepad.
Any suggestions on resolving this?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I would suggest you to search for BitDefender in the search next to start. If you are not able to find and if you have BitDefender CD/DVD, then I would suggest you to re-install BitDefender.
