Windows 10: Uninstall SQL Server: Error 1606: Can access network location *:.

I am trying to remove SQL Server 2017 but I get the Error 1606 Can't access network location *:.




According to my research on the internet it seems this is a registry problem. But I did not find a solution to solve it. Microsoft Easy Fix does not exist anymore, so I tried the Windows 10 startup repair, but this is just for nothing.

I tried also a third party registry repair program. This found some errors in the registry but did not solve the problem. This link is dead:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/886549.

I looked also at Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders but did not find anything strange.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Windows 10 Error 1606 Could Not Access Network Location

When I try to install certain (video) application programs the installation stops giving the Error 1606: "Could Not Access Network Location"

Fix it program does not work. What can I do?
