Windows 10: Unable to switch accounts in Minecraft Launcher

Hello. I currently have an issue where the Minecraft Launcher will automatically ask me to sign into the account I use for Windows. This account does not own Minecraft, and so I need to switch accounts. When I press the "Switch Account" button, a brief white window opens and immediately closes, and nothing else happens.I have tried:- Reinstalling the launcher- Logging out of all Microsoft related apps, and trying to log in as the other account only to find the same error- Resetting and Repairing the Xbox app and the Gaming Services appHelp would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Problem with the minecraft launcher.

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

There are many reasons why you can't log in to Minecraft Launcher, but all of them are due to Microsoft Store and related services. I will provide several methods to try to solve this problem, please refer to the following steps for operation:

• Clear the cache on Microsoft Store.
  

1. Press the Windows logo key + R, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.
   
2. After a few seconds a blank command prompt window will appear, which will disappear after about ten seconds and the Microsoft Store will open automatically.This means the cache was cleared successfully.
   

• Make sure you're using the Microsoft Store Install Service.
  

1. Services.msc can be found by pressing Windows Key + S and typing services.msc.
   
2. Locate and double-click the Microsoft Store Install Service; if the status is Running, right-click it and select Restart.
   
3. Change it to Automatic if it's disabled, then click Start and OK.
   

• Reinstall the Microsoft Store app
  

1. Press Windows key + X
   
   Click and Run Windows PowerShell(run as Administrator)Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:
   
   

• Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher
  

1. Click Start >Settings >Apps，find "Minecraft Launcher" in all apps.
   
2. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" Advanced options >Uninstall the application.
   
3. Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Minecraft Launcher", download and install it again, and log in to your account to see if it works.

Unable to Download New Minecraft Launcher from Microsoft Store

I am unable to download the new Minecraft Launcher from the store and I'm seeing an Error Code: 0x89235172.

I have tried multiple ways of fixing this:

• Correct date/time & time zone
  
• Troubleshooting Windows Store
  
• Wi-Fi enabled and working properly
  
• Checked proxy settings
  
• Repaired Windows Store using PowerShell
  
• Reset Windows Store
  
• Restart Computer
  
• System Up-to-Date
  
• Sign-out then sign-in.
  
• Tried installing from My Library
  
• Uninstalled old Minecraft Launcher
  

Please assist me on this, thank you.

 

Minecraft for Windows not available on the Minecraft Launcher

I've already downloaded and installed Minecraft for Windows from the Microsoft Store.

I've also opened it (not from the Minecraft Launcher) and logged in to my Microsoft Account (the same one I'm using on my Minecraft Launcher).

The game works perfectly fine. However, if I try to open the official Minecraft Launcher, the game is still marked as incompatible and it won't let me launch the game from there.

I know I could just launch it without the Minecraft Launcher, but it'd be nice to be able to launch it from the Minecraft Launcher just like I would do it with Minecraft Java Edition.

Is there a way to fix this?
