    I have a Dell Latitude 5490 i7 8th laptop with 16 GB RAM & 512 GB SSD that I bought refurbished. Today, after finishing my work on the Administrator account, I tried to sign in to my user account named "USER - 1". However, even though I entered the correct pin, it displayed an error saying "Unable to Sign in due to repeated sign-in attempts. Please wait for 2 hours." I restarted my laptop and tried to sign in again, but this time, a prompt appeared on the screen saying "Unable to load user profile." I clicked OK, and suddenly, both of the users account that I had created disappeared. I rem

    I understand your concern, in order to get more clarity and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps please reply with the answer to the below question:

    1. Which accounts are you unable to sign in to?
    2. What happens when you try to sign in to your account?
    3. Are you seeing any error messages when you try to sign in to your PC?

    If you are referring to the Microsoft account and if your Microsoft account has been compromised, it means that someone might be using your account to access your personal info or send spam. I suggest use the following guide to
    get back into your account, review your personal info and settings, and help prevent this from happening again. Refer the article on

    How to access a compromised Microsoft account
    and try to reset your password. If the issue still persists you can follow the remaining steps mentioned in the article and check if that helps.

    For us to isolate your concern with signing in to your Windows 10 user account, we would like to know the following:

    • Are you using a Microsoft account or a local account upon trying to log in to your Windows 10 device computer?
    • What is the exact error message that you are getting (a screenshot would be much appreciated)?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

    Provide us with the below details for better clarity on the issue.

    • Are you facing the issue on a local or Microsoft Account?
    • Are you able to login and use other apps?
    I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the system and login to the Microsoft Account to check if that helps.



    If you still face issues with the store in Microsoft Account then you may want to reset the Store cache and check the status.

    Steps:-

    • Press Windows Key + R.
    • Type, "WSReset.exe" and hit Enter.
