    windows live 2012. cannot send or receive emails. error code showing :- Unable to send or receive messages for the Blacksmith account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Server: 'pop3.virginmedia.com' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F Protocol: POP3 Port: 995 SecureSSL: Yes just started happening. Have done nothing to upset it!

    unable to receive emails but can send

    I am using windows 10 and outlook on my laptop. Up until this past week I had no difficulties with email with this same device for months. Now, I am unable to download incoming mail, but when synched, receive notification that it is up to date although
    I know additional items were received on other devices. I am able to easily send emails. Any suggestions on how to repair? This is frustrating!

    However, please let us know:



    • Are you using Google Chrome to check your emails?
    • Do you receive any error message?
    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?


    If you are using Windows Mail app to send or receive emails, I would suggest you to refer the article on

    Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10     and see if that helps.



    If you are using Microsoft Outlook, I would suggest you to refer the article on

    Error occurs when you send or receive an email message in Outlook or Outlook Express    .
