Windows 10: Unable to log into Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet running Windows 10 - no way to create password...

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet running Windows 10. I *thought* I connected my Microsoft account to the device, but now when I try to log in, even though it shows the correct profile pic, it just has "user" as the name and won't accept my MS password. My MS account shows the device, so it's clear I've connected it at some point. The computer does have access to the internet.Things I have tried:I put in a password hint, but the password that matches the hint doesn't work either. I have gone through a list of over 100 passwords that are possible and none of them work.When I click "reset passw

Short answer, yes, though you may see the intel management engine software already listed in control panel\programs and features. note the version # and compare it to the current version on lenovos website. uninstall your version if it's older before you re-install the newer version. If they are identical, don't bother. You might want to select the recommended auto update method this one time. You can always remove any app it requires afterwards.

Does your device have the ThinkPad Tablet Setup or Lenovo Vantage apps installed? The former will show you the UEFI BIOS settings; the latter will show you further diagnostics. If not, consider creating a Lenovo UEFI Diagnostics - Bootable USB, available for Windows 11 (and 10). Sorry but I don't think I can help any further. You appear resistant to changing anything... but hope this helps...
